We inhabit a world where people eagerly chase after comfort. We desire what we want, and we want it immediately.

I have realized that my greatest obstacle is myself, and I tend to hinder my progress the most when I avoid discomfort.

So, I ask you this question are YOU too comfortable?

For most of my life, I've tried to evade my emotions and responsibilities. Even after rebuilding my life, I continue to steer clear of uncomfortable situations.

I quickly forget that the times in my life when I made difficult decisions and felt extremely uncomfortable have been the most rewarding.

I am currently in one of those uncomfortable situations. This month I started my own business.

As these cold winter days pass and new guest are not busting down my door, the most uncomfortable feeling enters my mind FEAR.

Yesterday, I attended a networking event. My mind was shouting, "I don't want to do this," but once it was over, I felt fantastic. Even though I'm unsure if it helped my business, I had the opportunity to converse with people from various backgrounds who were eager to advance their careers.

My comfort zone is where I find complacency, isolation, and stagnation.

We seek comfort for numerous reasons, often related to pride, ego, and fear.

Go get uncomfortable, do the thing your brain tries to talk you out of.

As January comes to a close, most individuals have abandoned their resolutions.

Its comfortable to eat unhealthy foods, its comfortable to avoid the gym, its comfortable to procrastinate, its comfortable to doom scroll social media.

Here is our solution: Embrace discomfort, avoid seeking immediate gratification, don't let your emotions take control, and stop worrying about others' opinions. Take on the challenging tasks!

It's a big path towards comfort and everyone's on it, riding easy in their lazy boys.

Embrace discomfort and take a risk today.
